About the Foundation.

The Clayton Bellamy Foundation for the Arts is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching lives through the transformative power of the arts. Founded in 2021, the Foundation is committed to ensuring that arts education and artistic opportunities remain accessible to schools and communities throughout the Lakeland Region.

Recognizing that participation in the arts plays a vital role in a child's development and education, the Foundation supports the next generation of artists by awarding an annual $2,500 bursary to an eligible graduating student pursuing post-secondary studies in the arts.

Through the dedication of its Board of Directors, volunteers, donors, and community partners, the Foundation also owns and operates the Strathcona Performing Arts Centre, a vibrant cultural hub that celebrates creativity, connection, and artistic excellence.

The Foundation's mission is to provide a stage where internationally acclaimed performers and emerging local talent can share their gifts with the community. Guided by the belief that the arts have the power to inspire, educate, and bring people together, the Foundation strives to create an inclusive and welcoming environment where audiences and artists alike can experience the impact of live performance.

The Strathcona Performing Arts Centre is a versatile, multi-purpose venue designed to support a wide range of artistic, cultural, and community activities. In addition to hosting live performances, the Centre offers flexible spaces for private events, meetings, conferences, workshops, and celebrations, providing an inspiring setting for creativity, collaboration, and community engagement.
